Your treatment, carefully planned.
Radiation therapy planned around your diagnosis, anatomy and goals.
Choosing the right approach
Radiation therapy uses carefully targeted radiation to treat cancer. It may be used on its own, before or after surgery, alongside systemic treatments, or to help relieve symptoms. Your radiation oncologist will explain the purpose of treatment in your case.
Precision, planning and verification
XRO offers intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic treatments, TomoTherapy and brachytherapy. SpaceOAR hydrogel injections may also support radiation treatment for selected prostate cancer patients. Not every approach is appropriate for every patient or available at every location.
Additional treatment approaches
- Three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy and respiratory gating
- Partial breast irradiation and breast brachytherapy
- Prostate seed implants and image-guided prostate treatment
- High-dose-rate and low-dose-rate gynecologic brachytherapy
- Superficial radiation for selected skin cancers
